People sometimes get confused on how to use those three honorifics for female clients. I'd like to share some my knowledge regarding the proper usage of Miss, Ms and Mrs.
These three honorifics are often used and it is also a sign of respect to female recipients in writing business letters.

Here are the differences between the three honorifics that have been used for Female.

Miss- Use Miss if you are sure that the recipient of your letter is an unmarried woman.
Mrs.- Use Mrs for married woman; and;
Ms- Use this if you aren't sure about the woman's marital status - this is much suitable.

Have you imagined the names of our very own celebrities that have been flashed on the television screens? Just like: Ms. Lea Salonga, Ms. Vilma Santos, and Ms. Sharon Cuneta? We sometimes wonder why their names were written as that and we all know that they were married women. The reason is because of the fact that it makes them young! And then, this is also used to disguise the status of a female recipient.

Take note that Ms. can be used for female recipients who wishes to use it regardless of its marital status.

Additional note: You can also use Ma'am or Madam but this is much suitable for female recipients who are in a high position and for elder women because this shows highly respect.
