1st and 5th cars can't align bumper to bumper so the correct answer is only 8..

1st and 5th cars can't align bumper to bumper so the correct answer is only 8..1st and 5th can align forming a circle. Therefore, they also get bumper to bumper. :DANCER::DANCER::DANCER:

Oh my gosh!! I did not realize I have to answer cmo's question until today that I tried browsing old posts.

Okey guys, I would like to settle this matter with you now.

If the 5 cars are lined up in a straight line, there would be 8 bumpers touching each other.

If the 5 cars are "lined up" bumper to bumper in a circle, cmo's answer is right, 10 bumpers would be touching each other.

Two possible and equally smart answers.
