By the way, this phone kinda reminds me of Aeon Flux. She had a phone bracelet, right?
there is current research on bacteria charging your cellphones. read on.
People in developing countries may lack luxuries like electricity, but what they lack in modern conveniences they more than make up for in bacteria. Fortunately, a team of students from MIT has put two and two together and developed a microbial fuel cell (MFC) that harnesses electrons released by bacteria feeding on sugars, starches and other organic material. As you might have guessed, the output generated from these "BioVolt" batteries is less than ideal. In fact, you could probably charge your phone faster by shuffling your feet across the carpet. In it's current state it would take 6 months to charge a phone's battery, but developers insist that further refinements should increase the output 100 fold.

I think there is also the development of the paper battery that is so thin that could make the cellphone slimmest like a credit card.

What also amazes me are Organic Electronics
(OLCD = Organic LCD is in the market for so long)
I wonder what's could be next to that.....
there are at least a dozen studies on biomimicry with promise. who knows what they'll think of next? check the video out.

The last one is a model from Microsoft surface.. go search google....
I have also plans for creating one for my own.. I just need the money...
Instructions are all over the net.. see. multi touch surfaces...
and I am also a programmer by profession to there would be no problem for me editing the already open sourced drivers for this amazing stuff...
FYI: Microsoft Pioneered Multi-Touch Sensing! Apple is just the first one to commercialize it through iPhone and iTouch
