SEE OFF or SEND OFF? That is the question.

SEE OFF
You see someone off when you to go an airport, station, etc. to say goodbye to someone.

e.g. It was harder to say goodbye to my love when I went to the train station to see him off yesterday.

SEND OFF
You send off something or send something off. This is connected with letters, documents, packages, etc.
e.g. Lawrence has just sent off his letter of application to LST.
