Set A: Ken went to prison.
Ken went to the prison.
Set B: I should go to market today.
I should go to the market today.
Set C: She must stay home as she is a little bit sick.
She must stay at home as she is a little bit sick.
Can you tell me the difference between the two sentences in Sets A, B, C?

However, the grammatical implication would be like this:
Ken went to prison.
This sentence means Ken was imprisoned for committing a crime.
Ken went to the prison.
This sentence means he went to the prison house, or visited somebody who was in prison.

This sentence means I should buy/sell today.
I should go to the market today.
This sentence means I should go to market place.
She must stay home ... ( British English)
She must stay at home... (American English)
