Why do some people forget to pronounce the /t/ in Antarctic and the /k/ in Arctic?
Antarctic is a three-syllbale word ant-arc-tic; the /t/ should be pronounced.
Arctic - it is a two-syllable word 'arc-tic'; the /k/ should be pronounced, too.
Try it for the sake of accuracy and effective communication. :)
