Hi Tracymcelroy! \(^_^)/
I had the same problem like yours before. Not just that but also when it comes to speaking. The main reason for me before was because I wasn't confident enough with what or how I say it. Since I am shy to try it out with other people at first instead of singing in the bathroom (where my echos tell me my accent sounds bad hehehe), I make a random conversation with myself. I think of a scenario and role play it. Try speaking out loud to hear yourself then you can also enhance your hearing skills at the same time. It worked for me. Enhancing how you speak, hearing out your own accent and how you deliver each sentence is the best way to enhance you hearing skills. Put a little twist on your soliloquy (never mind your housemates if they think that you've gone crazy talking to yourself har.. har.. har..) make your role play slow at first and then faster. Add a little emotion into it, you can be angry or just be ecstatic.
If you think that you've passed the first stage which is hearing yourself. Then you can ask a buddy to help you out. This is where you role play with a friend. The best part is it can help you now in enhancing your hearing skills by hearing somebody else which you are comfortable with.
Lastly would be listening to radios and televisions or other people's English conversation (Just don't let them know you're listening to them they might think your eavesdropping :peace:). You may also listen to fast songs and try not to google the lyrics but understand the song first This will bring a little bit of complexity with your hearing but with the different accents you hear from radios, TVs, music and eavesdropping  it also gives your English hearing skills more flexibility.
I don't know if these stages I used for myself may help you. All I know is before jumping in a cold pool I dip my toes in first (^-^) some people just dives!
Step 1: Hearing out yourself
Step 2: Practice with a friend
Step 3: Listen to radios, TVs, music and other people's conversation <----(This is the dive part!)
I hope this helps. God bless.
Hi dear,
I am Hugh, Student of Commerce. Please tell me how I can improve my English listing.
What I to do to improve it. Please provide me complete guideline. I am waiting.
Listen to the news as much as you can. Listen even when you're doing other jobs until your ears feel similar to the voice. Gradually u'll be able to understand the news even if u're not paying full attention to it. Frankly, I find listening to movie line much more challenging because the actors often speak with varied accents and dialects while the newsreaders normally have a standard accent

English is little easy language as compared to other language. To learn any language you have to practice speaking, Listening with another person you can practice with your friend or relative. It is not that you go to some English teaching classes and you can learn english but you have to read english news papers, book, listen radio and watch english news, Movies, Try to speak to another in english don't hesitate be confident you can do it.
