Sure, we are all here to help each other. The whole site is helpful but you may pose some questions in particular.

Reading books really help. I started reading novels when I was in third grade and it really helped in enriching my vocabulary. You don't need to buy and read really expensive or complicated books all the time. Sweet Valley and Sweet Dreams were enough na for me. hehehe. And you can also enroll in our Conversation Fluency Class. Call the phone number indicated in my signature if you're really interested. Take Care!

In addition to the others' suggestions: make speaking English your lifestyle. When you're at home or with friends (especially those keen on improving their English), you can ask them to practice speaking English with you. In that way, you can be more confident in using the language. You and your friends may correct some errors, so in the process, you also learn. Immersion is key; however, in the situation where we are in (English is just a second language), you have to create your own environment to facilitate your learning. :LOVE0052:
ctivnan's right. if you have trouble in finding an environment to immerse in, there's this spoken english chat that i usually host at evenings. check out the spoken english thread.

just keep reading broh! i think its the most effective way.
Hi there,
I echo what others have said regarding reading lots of books and immersing yourself in an "English lifestyle." I would also recommend watching TV programs and movies in English.
Also, join organizations that promote English proficiency. We have a club called UPEC, Universal Pro English Club: www.friendster.com/upec.
what about if you did all to improve your english but still you have problem communicating with others..like talking to somebody then just right there you cant speak english or you cant tell what you really want to say..any advice because iam like that..

Confidence, darling, confidence is what you really lack. You're just afraid to make grammatical errors at the simpliest phrases because the person you're talking to might laugh at you. I suggest that you improve your english and communicating skills by talking to foreigners. Why so?, I just noticed that foreigners don't mind bad english unless they really can't understand you, foreigners won't mock you or laugh at your errors unlike our own countrymen.

i have observed that your problem is not in the knowledge of the English language but rather more on communications... as what is suggested by our friends above, you start by conversing in English amongst your nearest kins and peers... until such time you gain confidence. Also watching TV with English language as their medium of conversation... or the news. this way you will improve on your diction.
Read books, watch TV and movies in English, find someone to practice your conversation with and keep on writing in English Coffee :D
