- Geez, when is it ever appropriate to use these words? :err1:

It's a no brainer, mate. Here goes...

FINALLY is used to introduce the last item in an essay, report, talk, etc.

e.g. Finally, I would like to point out that teacher quality is a major influence in educational quality.

AT LAST is used to introduce something that happens after a long delay.

e.g. At last the Intrnet connection is back!
