Bright Center for Career Development
and Education Support, Inc.:
Teaching English As a Second Language

The UP TESL Team, in connection with
the UP Centennial Celebration, offers a
Summer Training Program on Teaching
English as a Second Language (TESL) on
May 12-16 and 19-23 (10 days) at the
GS Building, 840 M. F. Jhocson Street,
Sampaloc, Manila.

Topics to be covered will be the
Principles in Language Learning and
Teaching, Improvement of Oral
Communication, Communicative Grammar,
Content-based Instruction, Lesson
Planning and Actual Demonstration
Lessons.

The team is made up of language
education experts from University of
the Philippines and Singapore-trained
ESL teachers from the UP Integrated
School. Dr. Marietta Reyes-Otero and
Prof. Melanie Maminta-Donkor head the
training team.

This UP Centennial offering is in
collaboration with Bright Center for
Career Development and Education
Support, Inc. Registration is on going.
This is a first come first serve basis.
Reservation fee is 50% of the Php
5,000.00 registration fee.
