we use this word a lot when one of my workmates go somewhere and chat with other staffs. jokingly anyway.

What's the difference between truancy and skiving in case of students?

What's the difference between truancy and skiving in case of students?
From what I gather, there is no difference between these two terms when talking about students dodging school and schoolwork.
Others may be able to help. :D
