As opposed to fear, this thread is about love or fondness for certain things.

I'll start with:

anglophilia - love for English language and things English

Ever since I found English Coffee I began to enjoy acute anglophilia.:loveyah: EC

My son has turophilia...he loves cheese. I used to call him "mouse."

I have biophilia (love of nature) and anthophilia (attracted to flowers).

Ailurophilia is a new word for me. I share with you the passion for books. I'm still thinking what is the right word for the love of children without the bad connotation of a paedophile. I also love plants and gardening. Would that be biophilia?

Shall I call you Madame Butterfly then?:superhappy:

My daughter loves cheese also but not all those fancy European types. She loves cheddar cheese only that's why I told her 'You're really a Filipino'.:)

Books are just amazing, aren't they? I love traveling, too and books just take me to many places! ^^

I think that for now, unless they coin or make another word for pedophilia, it will remain to have that nasty connotation.
