Hello Coffeers,

Thanks in advance!

hhhmmm... you're so sweet huh?...what's the occasion??..is it you anniversary?..monthsary??..

anyway, the content of your letter must come from the bottom of your heart..it must be simple..yet so sweet and sincere...

woman like me..prefers to receive even just a simple note or card that comes from the one we love...

so your idea is really great :D

Hi juan, I'd like to help, but I hope what ever I'll say here would be very helpful for you.

During my highschool days(now the story has begun..kidding) but during those days, I really love writing poems, to tell you honestly I had collected plenty of poems then. But I never gave them importance. So now almost all of them are lost.

Some people are amazed on how do I create my poems, how do made sure that my words are in rhymes. Where do I get the words I was writing. What makes me write a good poem. Those are the things they frequently ask me. Thinking that those are the thing a reader wants or looks when reading poetry.

My main and only tools in write poet are,pen paper and me. And here's how I do...(procedures may be change without prior notice.)

I start everything on a very simple rule, open my heart and mind, and write.
What do I write? I write all the things that I wanted to say, things that I feel. Not necessarily about love. Actually I also wrote poetry that talks about enemy, teachers, etc...

Then after I collected all the words from my mind and heart, that's the time for me to put some spice on my ingredients. It's like that I am cooking and start the procedure with sautéing all ingredients in a pan, then adding some taste on it.

The spice that I am putting are the syllables and rhymes. With these two spice you can already have a good poem. The basic things I consider are the number of syllables, I often make sure that my syllables are in the same number inside each sentence. Then my next consideration is rhymes at the end of each sentence.

After all of that is done next is the garneshing. But me, I don't usually make my poetry too much attractive, for me the simplier the better for simple people. But with regards to garnishing, my basic garnish is the title of the poem. I usually put mysterious titles on my poetries. By that, I make my poet more interesting to read.

I hope this simple things would be helpful to you...

One thing is important, create your on idea and poems, never imitate, be inspired but do not imitate. Like feelings, you can never imitate feelings, but you can be inspired. And don't push yourself to limit, make your mind relaxed and not pressured in everything you do...

Also always be honest, do not hide things too much... It might not be helpful...

It's becoming complicated. What's a good brand of make up?

with that I don't think I can still help you...

Since I haven't tried to use make up in my entire life also, I hope my girlfriend won't think the way I do...or she would give me make up kit also....:):

Juan, I like MAC! It is really good, especially the powder foundation! The trick is that you have to bring whoever it is that you wanna give the make-up to because for foundations, matching the color to the skin tone is important. If you want to give the make-up as a surprise gift, I suggest you get the latest eye shadows or blushers (note that you must show a good picture of the person you are giving the gift to so that the sales assistants can help you pick out the proper colors). Hope this helps! :okay:

For eyeliners, Estee Lauder has a very nice double eyeliner! It stays long. :emoticon-5:

dude, if you want to write romantic love poems, watch Il Postino (The Postman). no, not that flick by Kevin Costner. it's about a fisherman in a remote town in italy who met and befriended Pablo Neruda. and read Pablo Neruda's poems. man, they really melt girls hearts.

the most classical of neruda's works is "tonight i can write the saddest lines (or i can write the saddest lines of all tonight, depending on who translated it)". back in college there's this dormmate of mine who lent me a copy of the soundtrack, all the poems in that movie, read by different hollywood artists. if i can only find my copy....

hi, juan,

writing poetry is like opening up your soul,
revealing all there is, unmindful of the consequences,
awaiting for pleasures, embracing pains.

writing poetry is a journey of self,
revealing the unknown, unmidnful of the surprises ahead,
awaiting the end, embracing yourself more.

writing poetry is simple,
revealing your pleasures, unmindful yet forward looking,
awaiting the affirmation, embracing the beholden.

writing poetry is about you, alone, isolated, inspired,
writing poetry is about her, in mind, in spirit, connected,
writing poetry is about the both of you.

juan, whatever is in your heart, just write. no rules, no exceptions, no hesitations. after all only you knows what is in your heart.

happy writing.

That is really a good poem you wrote there.
It has style. It has content.
It shows you are inspired.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts this way.
And may Juan learn to do what he wants to do.
And maybe the only way Juan can do it
is by plain starting to write his poem.:music:

I agree.. Just write what's in your heart.. or

say it in person.. Since you're not romantic, your girlfriend will appreciate more if you tell her what's in your heart..It's really hard but I'm sure she won't forget it..

My ex did that to me and after 5years, I can still remember the words he said, the place where we ate and how he looked that day (he was so nervous)...To think that this guy isn't romantic enough..I never expected him to do that..hehehe..

Just say what you mean. Don't worry about form. Be sincere in what you write. It is best to be original.
