View Full Version : maybe, probably, and certainly
Maybe is the same as perhaps or might but perhaps is more formal and might is more informal.
ex.
a) Maybe I will stop surfing English Coffee early today or maybe I'll stop surfing English Coffee late. I don't really know yet!
I will probably do something means the same as I am pretty sure I will do it. It is less than 100% but more than maybe.
ex.
b) I will probably finish writing English Coffee threads at 3:00 am
Certainly and surely are the same, they both mean 100%.
ex.
c) English Coffee will certainly succeed. I'm sure of it!
