HELP someone (TO) DO something

HELP SOMEONE is NOT followed by a gerund.
HELP SOMEONE is FOLLOWED BY AN INFINITIVE or an SVF.

e.g. A proper diet helps people (to) keep fit and healthy.

Sorry, but what's the meaning of "SVF"?

Hiya!

SVF means SIMPLE VERB FORM.

e.g.
1. watch - SVF
watch / watches - PRESENT
watched - PAST
watched - PAST PARTICIPLE
watching - PRESENT PARTICIPLE

2. throw - SVF
throw / throws - PRESENT
threw - PAST
thrown - PAST PARTICIPLE
throwing - PRESENT PARTICIPLE
