The expressions 'do/would you mind', 'I don't mind' are followed by a GERUND.

e.g.
Do you mind working late tonight?
- I don't mind working late at night.

N.B.
When people are asked the question, 'Do/Would you mind...?', they normally answer 'Yes.'

This is NOT the correct response! Although some speakers may understand that you do not mind, others may think that you are bothered.

So, the best thing to do is be precise. If it does not bother you or you are okay with the idea, then the CORRECT RESPONSE is 'NO, I DON'T MIND.' or 'NOT AT ALL.':c_o_o_l::dance:

I do get confused when someone asks this question.

I usually hear the one with the 'if-clause'.

cmo, I think that the response, 'Yes, at all.' is not clear because 'at all' is normally used with the negative, such as 'Not at all.'
