Some years ago, a young business man who had risen to a position of importance fell in love with a well-known and highly respected actress. For many months, he was constantly in her company, escorting her to all the "right places". Eventually, he decided to marry the young lady.

Before doing so, however, he hired a private detective to investigate her. The task was assigned to a special agent who had no knowledge of the identity of the client.

Finally, the agent's report was sent to him. It read: "Miss .....has an excellent reputation. Her past is spotless, her associates beyond reproach. The only hint of scandal is that in recent months, she has been in the company of a businessman of doubtful reputation.

Thanks for the moral lesson, q_sharon!

"If we try to see ourselves as others see us, and especially as God sees us, perhaps we would have a less exalted opinion of ourselves."

Humility is what most people need.

I find this true and it reminds me of Desiderata:

"If you compare yourselves with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater
and lesser persons than yourself."

:thatsit: Great post Q_sharon! A good thought to start one's morning! :c_o_o_l:

Each of us is different from another.
We've got different personalities, strengths and weaknesses.

Love your own self.
