LISP

- refers to the misarticulation of sibilants, chiefly "s" and "z." Those affected by this speech problem pronounce "s" like the unvoiced "th" of thin and "z" like the voiced "th" of this.

RHOTACISM

- refers to the excessive use of "r" or its misarticulation (as in Bahbwa for Barbara).

LALLATION

- refers to the mispronunciation of "r" as "l."
