So you love salt. :HUNGRY: Who said that you shouldn't be choosy in the kind of salt you are using? Ever heard of people saying, in their most sincere tone, "Avoid salt. That'll raise your blood pressure." Or, "Salt will make you gain weight." How true! These are just some of the horrible things that will happen to you when you consume sea salt, rock salt or your commercially available salt. :intears:

COULD YOU IMAGINE LIFE WITHOUT SALT? Ewww! :taz: To most of us this can be difficult. True, you can get used to it - eating without or with very little amount of salt. But don't you want a life that lets you enjoy salt without having to worry about it's ill effects?

Allow me to take you to this salty sea of discoveries by hard-working, dedicated people who'd want to share you with the benefits of a very important ingredient in our life - SALT.

First question: Do you know how they make sea salt, rock salt, iodized salt or table salt?
Answer 1: Uhmm.. kind of. Seawater is gathered and thereafter dried salt will appear.

Sounds simple enough. Let's read what the experts have to say:

Sea salt, rock salt and common table salt: :Fish Smiley 6068:

 Refined to eliminate heavy metals and other pollutants present in today’s sea
water in order for manufactures to sell. The salt is rid of essential minerals
and vital elements needed by the body. All that’s left are two minerals –
sodium chloride. :bomb:

 Table salt is actually 97.5% sodium chloride and 2.5% chemicals such as
moisture absorbents, and iodine. Dried at over 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit, the
excessive heat alters the natural chemical structure of the salt.

 Eating common table salt causes excess fluid in your body tissue, which can
contribute to unsightly cellulite, rheumatism, arthritis and gout, and kidney and
gallbladder stones.

 Additives to salt such as iodine and fluoride are potentially hazardous to health.

 Potentially dangerous preservatives such as calcium carbonate, magnesium
carbonate, and aluminum hydroxide are added. Aluminum deposits into the
brain and may cause Alzheimer’s disease.

 Table salt/cooking salt from groceries are chemically treated. This is a very
serious mater because this kind of salt is present in processed food. About
90% of consumer's money is actually spent on processed food. :enraged:

 Since table salt crystals under a microscope can be seen as isolated crystals,
enourmous amounts of body energy is needed to metabolize them. To quote
part of an article in Dr. Mercola's website: "Inorganic sodium chloride can
keep you from an ideal fluid balance and can overburden your elimination
systems. When your body tries to isolate the excess salt you typically expose
it to, water molecules must surround the sodium chloride to break them up
into sodium and chloride ions in order to help your body neutralize them. To
accomplish this, water is taken from your cells in order to neutralize the
unnatural sodium chloride. This results in a less-than-ideal fluid balance in the
cells.

For every gram of sodium chloride that your body cannot get rid of, your body
uses 23 times the amount of cell water to neutralize the salt. Eating common
table salt causes excess fluid in your body tissue, which can contribute to:

* Unsightly cellulite
* Rheumatism, arthritis and gout
* Kidney and gall bladder stones

When you consider that the average person consumes 4,000 to 6,000 mg of
sodium chloride each day, and heavy users can ingest as much as 10,000 mg
in a day, it is clear that this is a serious and pervasive issue.":waah:

Second question: So how do we remedy this situation?
Answer: Please read on...

Sea salt, rock salt, iodized salt, and commercially available salt is not the only kind of salt on earth. There's one that's really, really good for you - the pristine Himalayan pink salt.
Go on. Don't stop here. :itshere:

The Himalayan pink salt is mined in Pakistan Himalayas in an area known as the Salt Range. When the Himalayas rose during the tectonic movement that caused the Indian Plate to come together with the European and Asian Plate, part of the primeval ocean was separated. This trapped, uncontaminated primal ocean evaporated over time and formed deposits of salt in its most pristine form. Known to be over 250 million years old, and formed during the time when the world was an unpolluted ecosystem, the Himalayan pink salt is so pure and rich that it not only re-mineralizes the body but also promotes optimum health. It contains 84 essential minerals and trace elements naturally found in your body.

So what? Don't fret, my dear frineds. Rejoice because the Himalayan pink salt is one miracle of nature. :Cat Smiley 6117:

[COLOR="Magenta"]The Himalayan pink crystal salt:

 is the highest grade of pristine natural salt.
 has a perfect crystalline structure under the electron microscope.
 is mined by hand and hand-washed.
 is immune to electromagnetic fields
 contains no environmental pollutants.
 has unlimited shelf life and has no need for silica packets to prevent clumping.
 comes alive with water, setting free its inherent healing energy that’s beneficial
to the body.
 has a compound of interconnected molecules in harmony with each other that
promotes a healthy balance in your body.

Want some more? Brace yourselves.

Benefits of Himalayan Pink Salt

 PROMOTES VASCULAR HEALTH
 SUPPORTS RESPIRATORY SYSTEM
 HELPS REGULATE BLOOD PRESSURE AND DOES NOT CONTRIBUTE TO HIGH
BLOOD PRESSURE
 ALL ITS INHERENT MINERALS AND TRACE ELEMENTS ARE AVAILABLE IN
COLLOIDAL FORM WHICH MEANS THEY ARE SO SMALL YOUR CELLS CAN
READILY ABSORB THEM
 PROMOTES A HEALTHY PH BALANCE IN BRAIN CELLS
 FIGHTS AGING AND ENCOURAGES BLOOD SUGAR HEALTH
 PREVENTS MUSCLE CRAMPS
 REGULATES THE BODY’S WATER CONTENT
 NATURALLY PROMOTES SLEEP
 PROMOTES STRONG BONES
 IMPROVES ABSORPTION OF FOOC PARTICLES THROUGH THE INTESTINAL
TRACT

Not yet convinced?

[COLOR="red"]It's perfect to use in any way…:applaud:

Himalayan salt is used in the same way as ordinary table salt. They are used as bath-salts, as well. Large crystal rocks are also used as lamps. One can also make brine, a crystal salt and water solution. Due to the complete mineral content of Himalayan Crystal Salt a small amount of Himalayan pink salt can be added to fresh water to provide an isotonic drink which may replace lost salt and minerals after exercise.

And best news is, you can easily get hold of the Himalayan Living Salt. Just send me a private message, email (gotrailblazers@yahoo.com), text message (0915-9737148), call me or simply reply to this thread. I have a limted supply, though. It's available in coarse and fine granules in 500gm jars. So hurry if you are interested. Our company has waited for many months for this salt to finally be here. It just arrived yesterday.

Any inquiries will be entertained to the best of my knowledge. For more information just surf the net and everything about the Himalayan Pink Salt is there.

Excellent post, trail. You're really a health buff.

I wish I'm there to try your Himalayan Pink Salt.

Anyway, I'm closer to Pakistan than you are so I'll probably go there and take the salt myself. That way I can be sure that it's the real thing.:D:hihihi:

You're welcome q! It's really a pleasure to share these things. My whole family is catching up. I'm sure my friends will, too! People deserve to know the truth about the food that we consume and the things that we use. We're spending precious money on them. Let's not buy junk. Slowly we can change our ways. Maybe in becoming choosy, we may be able to change the future because our children are at stake here. Just maybe these bigtime commercial manufacturers will realize that they should mend ways. Who knows? If we prefer organic or natural, they'll go organic and natural. It's just economics. :flash:

You're welcome, ctivnan! Carlos will love the pink salt. And so will you! And we sell it in a very reasonable price. Some sell it at a staggering price of P850.00 for a small amount. But we just sell it at P195.00 per 500g jar so that everybody can afford it. Will update you guys with some more of the good stuff about the Himalayan pink crystal salt.

Thank you, pinoypower. I sure hope it's easy to just go and deal with these people in the Salt Range. If you're able to, do tell us. You're lucky if you can. Bring lots of the crystal salt on your way home. It'd be difficult but it's worth it. :) If you're lucky enough you can probably get Himalayan pink salt for a much cheaper price. I heard you just need to hire a chartered flight to reach the place. :hihihi:

By the way, you don't need to worry about Chlorophyll Manila (http://www.chlorophyllmanila.com/)'s Himalayan Pink Salt. They're authentic. The owner's company can do bigtime importation. His advocacy now is not to make too much money but to be able to bring natural and beneficial food and products to every Filipino household. Though we do not have very strict measures here in the Philippines to check the authenticity of the products that we offer, there'd be many personalities, well-meaning individuals, cause groups, detractors, and competitors who'd be more than willing to investigate on us once people learn that we sell them. We wouldn't ruin our budding company on natural products by not making sure that what we're selling is the real thing. And we can't afford to be sloppy with this kind of business. Besides, the owner and his family and me and my family are among the first ones to test and consume our products. :HUNGRY:

And hey, no excuses for not being here. Although you're not in the Philippines, your relatives are still here. Correct me if I'm wrong. You can tell them about us. You got my number, Mr. pinoypower. :happy0069:

I'm so excited to try it! ^^,

Sure, my dear. There's two variants. They're the same except for the appearance. One is fine and the other is coarse. I'll bring both when I see you or if you have time to pass by the house. I have some here. In the near future, I plan to make my place one of the pick-up points in this area. By the way, if you happen to know a commercial place in your area that's not so expensive (the rent, I mean), please let me know. I plan to bring these products closer to the households. :wink1:

Pardon me if I inadvertently made the impression that your Himalayan Pink Salt is not the real thing. I didn't mean to. I have full trust in your integrity as a person. In fact, I would really buy some if I'm there. I would even try it for my salted eggs if it's economically feasible. Imagine salted eggs processed with Himalayan Pink Salt!:happy0069:

As for my relatives I'll definitely inform them of the benefits of Himalayan Pink Salt.

You're right about well meaning individuals, competitors, cause oriented group and others who will pounce on you at the slightest hint but you need not worry about them.
The real test for your products are the consumers themselves. If they feel they are getting better they will keep on coming back.

Good luck on your newest venture!

It's all right, pinoypower. I know you did not intend it to sound as other people would have interpreted it. Thank you for the trust.

And that idea of yours using the Himalayan pink crystal salt on your salted eggs is GREAT! You're the very first one to do that. You know, since most of the ready-to-eat food available in the market like hotdogs, bacon, ham, sausages, noodles, preserved food, etc are loaded with polluted salt, the key now is to really make your own food. If you want dried or cured meat like beef, meat and chicken, you've got to do it yourself. If you want me to ship some for you to experiment on it the new generation salted eggs, I can give it to you the same price as I sell here, or maybe lower if it is by bulk. Just pay for the shipment cost. If I knew how to make those salted eggs, I'd love to go into that business. It's about time we all enjoy salted food like eggs and ready-to-eat food without worrying too much about suffering the dreaded high blood pressure attack. :flash: You can be famous for those Himalayan salted eggs. :wowie: The possibilities are endless. C'mon, pinoypower, blaze some new trails! :victory:

About those detractors and skeptics, we have no reason to fear them. And you're right. My consumers are the best judge of the products that we offer.

And thanks for wishing me luck. :smilie3:

Pardon my cynicism, trail. But I cannot help wonder the fate of the miners who mine this precious, pure salt by hand.

Pardon my cynicism, trail. But I cannot help wonder the fate of the miners who mine this precious, pure salt by hand.

That I don't have any idea. But people are ingenious. They may be using something. Wood maybe. A piece of sharp wood or maybe a sharp piece of rock can break off the salt from where it may be sticking. They say you shouldn't use metals with the salt. I'm sure mining something by hand, if we take it literally, is something close to impossible. I'm not sure whether the word "manually" (could that mean the same with "by hand"?) should be used instead. But for the miners, if that's the way it's being done there, that is, using their hands literally to dig the salt, then there's no other choice. Explosives and traditional mining methods cannot be used with Himalayan salt. Maybe this is the reason why Himalayan salt is many times more expensive that our ordinary table salt.
