Maybe, what you mean is, you are afraid of posting in English. You don't have to worry about it, eyestrain. Just do it. Everybody makes mistakes, and I am no exception. Just feel free to express yourself as long as it doesn't violate any of the forum rules. You will soon get the hang of doing things around here. Enjoy!!

Don't be worried about making grammatical errors. Making grammatical mistakes shouldn't stop you from learning. I believe in your ability to improve yourself here.

Like what Q_sharon said, don't be afraid. You're most welcome to post. This forum is a venue for us to make errors, so we can make our errors work for us: we learn! :Cat Smiley 6105:

I'm looking forward to reading more of your posts, Eyestrain! :yey:

In addition to learning the language, you also learn the culture.

Let's exercise our brains this time:

In addition to swimming, I'd like to keep brisk walking as my physical exercise.

We should never be afraid of anything except our own fear. It would freeze us to inaction.

To apologize (to someone) for hurting him/her in one way or another is a difficult task, but once mastered, would give us an inexplicable peace of mind.

Believe in the power of unconditional forgiveness. It is embracing faith which can move mountains.

Blaming (someone) for a fault committed (like pointing one's finger at someone) should remind us that we are always part of the blame ( as when our forefinger points to someone, the three others, e.i., middle. ring and little fingers point back at us).

What are others capable of doing that we aren't capable of?

Being committed to the preservation of nature is equal to being committed to dear life.

I have stopped complaining about the deficiencies around me and have started exerting a little more to make this world a better place. I find it a lot more meaningful that way.

Here's another set:

Due to Pacman's successive victories, many young hopeful Filipino boxers also dream of becoming the next kings of the ring.

Filipinos from all walks of life were excited about the Pacman-Cotto fight last Sunday.

Instead of admitting being guilty of cheating in the exams, the unscrupulous student bravely denied it.

Are they interested in nothing but politicking these days?

q_sharon is looking forward to attending a major EC EB this coming year. Any of this sort coming up this year?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty certain that if a verb follows a preposition, it is always in the gerund form. A rule in English with no exceptions!
