Following the logic it should be:

near - nearest
far - farest

Isn't it?

Hi there Juan!

Let's give a chance to other coffeers to answer the poll before I give you the answer... or a coffeer may just give you the answer!

Farthest?! If you follow the pattern, the correct answer is farest..

but my answer is farthest coz it is the superlative form of far.

Did you notice that we have to memorize a lot certain forms in English that don't follow patterns?

We have to be always on the watch :cop:

Hi there!

Yes, English tends to be illogical at times. :sowhat::laugh1:

The answer is FARTHEST, not FURTHEST or FAREST.

Yep, you do, don't you? :cat:

But as long as you are aware, then it helps you to be on the watch! :cop:

A friendly correction: "Did you noticed..." should be "Did you notice..."

The helping verb did is followed by a verb in the present tense.
