hi,

would you know the schedule for application for this year? I believe there's one this coming April, but I don't know the application deadline or where I can get the information.

Thanks a lot :D

I am not so sure.. but as far as I know LET happens only once a year.. and that can be August or may be September... in between those dates...

And usually, deadline for application is until the end of May.

I am not sure if there are other changes regarding the LET because itś been two years ago since I took it...

Is it also true that the educational requirements for LET will be increased from the current 18-units starting September 2009 exams?

Thanks

I took the LET last October 2009, the week after Ondoy hit Manila. I'd like to share an essay on how I prepared for and took the LET even during typhoon season (http://factoidz.com/the-licensure-examination-for-teachers-let-how-i-prepared-for-and-took-the-exam-even-during-typhoon-season/).

You can also find tips on how to pass the LET (http://factoidz.com/how-to-pass-the-licensure-examination-for-teachers-let/) in my article, which was published in a small teachers' magazine.

I think there are also changes in the required number of units for those non-Education graduates who want to take the LET. From 18 units only, the PRC has increased it to 30 or so. It's as good as completing a Masters degree or the certificate program. The new requirement is already in effect starting with the September 2010 exam takers.

I hope these help. :cat-smi:

That essay is actually a part of a series of essays about the LET, from the application process to the release of the results. I'm not that confident about my writing though! :cat-smi:

There's another exam on September 2010. The LET is twice a year, unlike other board exams. :)
