Hi lasher and erik!

Where are you from? Your country is big! :D

How do you normally travel from one state to another?

Hey now MsC,:hey:

Yes, it is a big, beautiful country. The distance one travels usually chooses the mode of transportation. I've flown in planes to get to the midwest and the Pacific Coast, while closer states I would drive autos or take a train.

I'm from the Northeast - New England - Massachusetts to be exact. It's truly a beautiful area. We have mountains, farms and coastal regions all within driving distances - I happen to live on the coast......:)

:thanks: for the info lasher!

You're lucky to be living on the coast! That's definitely a sight to see! You have the mountains, farms, and the sea (or is it the Atlantic already?)! If I had a choice, I'd really be happy to live on the coast. I love the smell of the sea and the crashing of the waves! It's just therapeutic!

By the way, isn't New England the place where many Irish :clover: immigrants emigrated?

:hey:

Yeah, the coast is aces, I luv the smell 'o the ocean too....Quezon City sounds very therapeutic also (you painted a great description), with all its trees and parks...How far from the water are you?
It is the Atlantic Ocean, and yes, the :clover: settled in many places around here - especially in Boston. Sometimes it seems one can't throw a stick without hitting an Irishman:wub1:..

:glitterlol: That many Irishmen, huh?

Yeah, Quezon City is fine! I live in the eastern part near the mountains where it's quiet and all you can hear are dogs barking and birds chirping! However, during the holidays or birthday celebrations, people around here start doing karaoke which can last up till past midnight! :intears: I'm not a fan of that! Many Filipinos love singing and some can do so very well. Unfortunately, I'm not part of that 'some'.

The Manila Bay is about an hour to an hour and a half drive from my place. It all depends on the traffic. It's just sad that the pollution is so bad there. We can enjoy the wind and the sunset though!
Just a little over a year ago, they opened a huge mall by the bay. It is called Mall of Asia (MOA) (you can buy loads of stuff there!) and in front, they have made a nice baywalk with fresh seafood market and restaurants abound just beside the water! It's really amazing! :fishin: :fishin: :fishin:

try to visit our place here in Plaridel, Misamis Occidental. Though it is not known to be a tourist spot, there's a nice beach here
