... because we were..., we are and we shall be...

we were
there to share wonderful moments together,
finding comfort and warmth in each other's company
so short but most treasured;
ephemeral but worth reminiscing.
with words unspoken and kept; but
(don't you think) should have been expressed?

we are
however, destiny's discontented children;
imprisoned by our own indiscretion,
halted by the world's inconsistencies.
yet, challenging time and space,
defying norms and reason,
overcoming imaginary fear
of losing one's sanity.

then the unexpected dawned upon us.
we crossed our paths again,
that have seemed to have unfolded a new
chapter of our lives.
i call you my soulmate.
why?
simply because it was what we felt deep down.

so, we shall ever be
tomorrow's angels to lead each other's way;:halo:
for we see beyond our eyes,
never getting tired of the beautiful friendship
that was molded in time,
in sincerity and respect.:halo:

now we can bare our souls,
share deep thoughts to no end.
thanks, for the long search has come to an end.
i am committed to be your soulmate,
here and beyond.
never asking why only now( forget the hindsight).
rather accepting the fate and the faith

and being happy, knowing we are...

it really allows no room for anything abstract, but you realize that what ever comes out or method you use your goal is to make it as eye opening or beautiful as possible, this is the kind of poem that stretches the wants and imagination of the reader, simply you got everything across in a dazzling fashion
