you are the first thought in my mind
the moment i wake up in the morning.
you are the tinge of sugar in my coffee.
you are the light news in the daily.

you are the sweet maranatha to my ears.
you are the smile i don all day.
you are the seatbelt that hugs me tight,
promising to keep me safe from harm.
And just in case i travel along,
you are comfortably seated next to me.

you are the hankie in my pocket,
ready to wipe the tears from my eyes.
you are the umbrella that keeps me from the rain.
The aspirin that drives away my pain.

And after the day's nerve-wrecking load,
i feel the breeze gently brushing off my hair.
The twilight wind running through my ears,
yes, i hear it whispering your name.

but if the night seems cold and dreary,
i hug the pillow next to me. and surely
i feel that is you, my special one,
my soulmate so dear to me.

come now, my bosom friend, you are a part of me
and i a part of you.
we are each other's angels; reassuring us
God is there with you and here with me:friendz:
