“Upmost” can mean “uppermost,” referring to something on top. But usually this word is a mistake for “utmost,” meaning “most extreme.” It is also highest in place, order, rank, power etc... e.g. the uppermost peaks of the mountain.

- being the farthest point or extrimity; farthest: e.g. the utmost reef of the island
