Dear Jesus,
I am sinning and I want to stop this now and get back to work. I have turned the stock market into an egyptian god and am worshipping that rather than what you've been able to do for me at work. I have gone 3 or 4 days of not reading your word. I have not studied. I have enjoyed living in your world for a change. Thank you for this downtime after a long year of ups and downs. I need your help.
Thank you for your love and guidance. I will read part of John after this and then get back to work. Help me to be productive so that you can live your life through me.
Thank you for guidance. Thank you for showing me that I don't have to put myself in a box and be naive and in fear, in secluded groups, protecting me and others from the world like some of these Christians I have been meeting. If YOU are all powerful and mighty, then I should be connected to you and be able to LIVE in this world - evil and all - showing that your power can conquer anything. But this means I must beef up my faith and I ask help from the holy spirit to do this. This guidance allows me to accept ME and my life. I've had many more world experiences than many of these people and yet I've not been in church for over 17 years, but I've read the bible more than most and have done my best to stay connected to you. In other words, I will not have to APOLOGISE for being different when I meet up with these Christians face to face. I can glorify you and your power.
But I don't have to force them to get out of their shell or their secluded groups or schools. They get to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling. But we can still strive to get along. Or at least I can with patience to understand that everyone, including me, has faith that needs to be strengthened.
In Jesus name I ask this,
