Language can be used in ways that exclude or discriminate against popular social groups. Therefore, especially in a diverse workforce, employees/employers must be careful about the expressions that they use within the company.
Non-inclusive language is language that may be interpreted as derogatory, sexist, or racist.
e.g. stewardess, cleaning lady
Inclusive language helps to create a more positive work climate, as it is neutral and does not stereotype or offend anybody.
e.g. flight attendant, office cleaner
