Let's Play Badminton!

Hi Coffeers! :coffee1:

Evona has organized and scheduled for us to play badminton at Sheridan Badminton Center (tel: 633-8401) along Sheridan Road, near United Street. The final schedule is from 9.30 am to 11.30 am. We should be there 15 minutes before the scheduled time, otherwise we will lose our reservation. :perspiring:

Take note that:
It costs P50 per player, per hour. There are no court charges! :yey:
We cannot bring our own food, so we have to buy food from their cafeteria. :HUNGRY: (the snacks are affordable)
Shower rooms are rather clean with water heater! :wowie:
If we are more than six, we can avail of two courts.

How to go there: :idea:
If you are commuting, get off at Shaw Station (MRT) and exit through EDSA Central. Walk towards EDSA Central Market, and across the road (United Street) there is Teleperformance. You will find a tricycle terminal behind Teleperformance. The tricycles' color is red. You can get a ride there to go to Sheridan Badminton Center, which is about a two-minute ride.

If you prefer to walk, it's a 7-10-minute walk. Go straight down United Street, and on the first block, turn right and walk a bit more; then, you can find Sheridan Badminton Center on your right.

CMO and I went shopping for the badminton equipment in Market Market. We had fun and learned a thing or two about shoes and rackets. :laugh1:

In addition, I would like to include some safety tips while inside the court:

While in the court, exercise the security of your belongings. As an experience, I have my share of seeing people's belongings disappearing into thin air while playing. I would suggest to have a lock on your bag or any other form of security device which does not allow easy access to your bag. I have a spare bag inside my knapsack for my valuables (mobile phones, wallet, money, etc) and I have that spare bag locked, while I also lock my bag from the outside.

The court allows visitors to watch the games there, but I suggest be vigilant with people going near your bags. If you brought along a friend, you might want to ask him/her to look after your bags while you play.

The court has parking spaces for players with vehicles. As a rule, never leave anything valuable or something that might look valuable for opportunists. Almost anywhere is not safe anymore. Be vigilant and wise.
