I grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii where I finished high school as National Honor Society President and Editor-in-Chief of the paper, attended college in Seattle, Washington as a Trustee's scholar and commencement speaker, and developed myself professionally as sales and marketing manager, corporate trainer, and management consultant in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I am currently in the Philippines as general manager and English language specialist for American Institute for English Proficiency. I believe that "education is the key to liberation." I enjoy having both a personal and professional relationship with the students, believing that each individual must be treated respectfully and uniquely.

If you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to help you. I'm very friendly and very easy to approach. Here's more information about me:

+ BA, Political Science, Seattle University (Seattle, Washington, USA)
+ Seattle University Commencement Speaker, Class of 1999
+ English Language Specialist, American Institute for English Proficiency
+ Writing Specialist, Seattle University Writing Center
+ Sales and Marketing Director (Las Vegas, Nevada, USA)
+ Official Debate Consultant for ANC (of ABS-CBN) Philippine Debate Championships
+ Parliamentary Debate Finalist/Award Winner, Northwest Parliamentary Debate Association Tournaments
+ Impromptu Speech National Champion, Western States Communications Association (Western USA and Canada Championships)
+ Impromptu Speech and Debate Competition Sponsor and Judge
+ Corporate Trainer/Manager for local and international corporations

We're so glad to have you around! :superhappy:

It's my first time to hear about the American Institute. How long have you been here in Manila?

What courses do you offer? Do you also organize seminars?

It's great to know that you guys organize activities. I would like to join some time. We also have an English club called UPEC. Universal Pro English Club. We have taken several trips already. Baguio, Tagaytay, Talisay, Lucena...The club also does poetry reading, poker night, karaoke night, games, among others. Their website is www.friendster.com/upec.

We have very similar goals...using English in a natural setting.

:c_o_o_l: Hi, aiepro!!! Glad to have you here! Cathy mentioned during our EB last Friday that you and your English club travel a lot. You can check out the threads on travel and check out the rates that I offer. I can arrange tours all over the country and abroad for you and your group and you'll definitely get discounts. Your inquiries are more than welcome... :snorkeling:
