Dearest Coffeers,

Congratulations on a very successful Badminton EB this morning! We all had loads of fun learning and interacting with other Coffeers! :yey:

Thank you very much to Evona, who organized this event and who was very patient and generous in teaching us, newbies, techniques to start playing Badminton! We appreciate it very much!

Thank you to Sun Tzu and Mr. Ponji as well! They were very patient in playing with me and teaching me some pointers while playing. :superhappy: By the end of our EB, I was able to play a doubles game with Mr. Ponji, Sam, and Rene. I can flick serve with more confidence now!

We were very happy because on our way to Sheridan Badminton Center, we thought that we were going to be only four or five Coffeers. To our surprise, Neeruam and Sam came with their two friends, Sharon and Rene. Too bad, Neeruam is still suffering from a toe injury, but I hope she can fit comfortably in her shoes next week! Sun Tzu's friends from Avis were also present. All in all, we were 11 people! Amazing!

It was GREAT to meet personally some of the coffeers: neeruam & sam, sharon & rene ( coffeers to be soon), and friends of sun_tzu (also coffeers to be)!!!!

Wow, me, as a first-timer player, who did not know how to hold the racket, it was exciting.

I did not push myself much because my heart was already beating very fast. But I enjoyed a lot!!!

We are all set to continue next Sunday, Sheridan Badminton!!! We thank Emil, the General Manager for his kind welcome!!!!

:thanks:

Hey q_sharon, thanks for the suggestion! Let's see how it can be organized!

Like badminton, it took quite sometime to have it started due to various reasons. And now we found the best set up for badminton!

I tried swimming but always lacked breath after few laps. Maybe due to lack of practice, he he

Finding a common place and affordable are the major factors!!! :friendz:

i used to go to amoranto stadium for my swimming exercise :ARIEL: it was my doctor's advice to go swimming on a regular basis, aside from brisk walking to counter the ugly chances of hypertension. now, actually, i can maintain my bp at 110/70 with these activities. quite busy to go swimming these days. brisk walking is the only healthy and ready option. and you can ask ms ctivnan about my age, but don't shout it to the world, huh?

however, i am now thinking about another option. actually, this is also a business opportunity. the magnetic bracelet that my good friend just introduced to me. i would like to post this once the brochures are ready. will you allow me to? :hearts:

:thankyou:

Thanks for all who attended our first game yesterday! I had a great time playing with you guys and sharing my experience with our beginners.

Ms. ctivnan, you did great yesterday! I'm very much surprised that you have learned the flick serve on such short notice! You have already learned the concept, and constant practice is what's left to do. Keep it up!

Sir CMO, I'm very happy of the outcome yesterday. We will do this again on Sunday, and I will definitely teach some more things about playing.

Thanks also for Sam and Mau for going there and meeting up with the group! And also to their friends who came along with them. I hope you can join us again next sunday and play with us already.

Also to Mr. Ponji, and the AVIS players who went and participated in playing, sharing their skills, and shared laughs with the group.

On a side not, I might have incurred a pulled right Achilles heel tendon yesterday, and I'm nursing it now. I will not play this coming Wednesday at my regular court to rest my heel up so I can play again on Sunday with you guys.

Thanks again and keep the momentum up!!!
