In Memory of all those who love their bosses !
A guy phones up his Boss, but gets the boss' son instead.
"I'm afraid she died last week." he explains.
The next day the man calls up again and asks for the boss.
"I told you" the son replies, "she died last week."
The next day he calls up again and once more asks to speak to his boss.
By this time the son is getting upset and shouts,
"I'VE ALREADY TOLD YOU TWICE, MY MOM, YOUR BOSS, DIED LAST WEEK! WHY DO YOU KEEP CALLING?"
He replied laughing,
"I just love hearing it..."
Moral of the story:
"Be nice to your staff".
To be honest, I've seen the staff here in the Philippines treated worse than their counterparts in the US. Here, people are not trained or developed. They are a little more robotic when it comes to customer service. I wish managers would train them more. Some of my friends tell me that it's the managers themselves who are not trained and are clueless about training others to serve better. Especially in government.

you are right aeipro. you see, my daughter's former boss was so unethical, so rude and lacks qualifications to deserve her present title. it was all because of influence. So my daughter had to move out to another center which is one hour drive from home. Before, she only had to walk a few strides to get to the office. i pity her.:crying:

i learned from my former bosses how NOT to treat my staff.
so when I became a leader (not boss) myself, i always tried to remember the things i hated from my bosses and tried NOT to do them to my staff :-)

I agree. Unfortunately, this is the Philippine reality. I think that the "crab mentality" is still prevalent in our society. Those who have positions tend to cling to their positions and don't want to develop others (staff) because they are afraid that the staff or someone in the staff may become better than them; therefore, they either lose their positions or miss the chance for being promoted.
In spite of this, I still hope that we can overcome this disability and strive for the best in ourselves and for those around us.
