Some people have a notion that learning the English language, or any language for that matter, is merely focused on grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and the like, as what we normally experience in formal class settings. However, in reality, this is not enough because no language is limited to this. Language is so dynamic that learners must be exposed to its usage in the real world, i.e. language used in books, magazines, conversations, discussions, games, music, movies, or the everyday tidbits of activities each of us engage in (talking about ourselves, our likes and dislikes, experiences at work or in school, etc.). This refers to the 'language at work', which is the communicative approach in language learning.

General Rules
1. Be yourself. Your opinion (except for non-tolerated behavior) is most welcome.
2. No cursing, no insulting. Please respect one another and each other’s opinion.
3. Post original topics as much as possible; otherwise, please acknowledge the sources.
4. Avoid double posts. Use the Search function before making a post to ensure there are no duplicate posts.
5. Posts should be relevant. No off-topic please. Post in the correct/appropriate forums.
6. Make your post easy to understand. Avoid text (sms) type of posting.
7. This forum is used to exchange relevant information. Keep the argument clean and logical.
8. Respect privacy.
9. No solicitations are allowed.
10. No spamming, no flooding or any form alike.
11. No PORN!
12. No harassments online. Report to the admin/moderators if an instance occurs. This will be dealt with seriously.
13. Please keep attached pictures small, so it will be easy to load.
14. English Coffee doesn't guarantee credibility or identity of our forum members. Please make an effort to double-check the background of any person before making a deal with them. English Coffee will not be held liable to any emotional, physical, financial, or any form of damages in these personal dealings.
15. A "Thank You" if a post has been helpful to you.
16. Political or religious posts or talks are allowed in moderation. No arguing; just respect others’ opinions. (We do not allow conspiracy theories, plots, assassination plans, etc.)
17. Racism and sexism are not allowed!
18. Don't use ALL CAPS or whatever case in your posts, if it is intended to offend someone!
19. Helping out others, especially new members is encouraged.
20. Each forum member can have only one account (username).
21. Last but not the least, use/write in English! If you want to quote a vernacular language, please translate in English in parenthesis. We have many international members and let's respect each of them.
