Athens sports fields and swimming pools open on Tuesday (19/5) – The new rules

From Tuesday, May 19, all open and closed Sports Facilities and Swimming Pools will reopen, as announced by the Municipality of Athens.

The Organization of Culture, Sports and Youth of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA), has taken all the necessary measures for the observance of hygiene conditions, but also the rules of operation of the premises, according to the Joint Ministerial Decision and the instructions of the Health Scientific Committee of C .Γ.Α. about safe exercise in organized sports venues.

Specifically, they reopen:

a) The four municipal swimming pools, in Serafio, Goudi, Kolokinthou and Grava

b) All open and closed sports facilities (basketball, volleyball, 5×5 and 11×11 football fields)

Reopening only:

a) Sports clubs with ages of athletes over 13 years of age (use by citizens is not allowed).

b) the candidates of the Panhellenic examinations of SEFAA (TEFAA) and productive schools of the Armed Forces and Security Forces.

c) It is also allowed to use the swimming pools for therapeutic exercise by people with disabilities, as well as by their companions if the presence of a companion is required on a case-by-case basis. A prerequisite is that swimming has been prescribed as a method of treatment and that a recent medical certificate has been issued that allows this method of treatment during the current period.

Every athlete should have a medical certificate that they do not have symptoms of coronary COVID-19.
