Professor Sotiris Tsiodras announced nine new cases of coronary heart disease SARS-CoV-2 in Greece, in a piece of written information about the course of the pandemic in our country.
The total number of cases is 2,819, of which 55.2% are men. Of these, 613 (21.7%) are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 1455 (51.6%) are related to an already known case.
23 of our fellow citizens are being treated intubated. Their average age is 72 years. 10 (43.5%) are women and the rest are men. 95.7% have an underlying disease or are over 70 years old. 90 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
Finally, we have 2 more recorded deaths and 162 deaths in total in the country. 45 were women (27.8%) and the rest were men. The median age of our deceased fellow citizens was 76 years and 93.8% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 and over.
A total of 126,283 clinical samples have been tested.
