Municipality of Athens: Goudi Swimming Pool Reopens – Free use for the whole month

The Municipality of Athens announces that the Organization of Culture, Sports and Youth of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA), will proceed from Monday, June 1, to reopen for the public of the renovated open swimming pool in Goudi.

OPANDA, taking advantage of the lockdown due to the pandemic, proceeded with the renovation of the Goudi swimming pool, with the aim of the functional upgrade and the even safer use of the space by the athletes.

Specifically, it proceeded with the repair of the locker rooms with oil paints, installation of new cabinets and replacement of the lighting, while it also restored the operation of the ventilation. Outdoors, new pools have been installed in the swimming pool. Finally, the Cleaning Department cleaned the tiles in the locker rooms and in the surrounding area of ​​the swimming pool using a special machine and new trash cans were placed.

OPANDA has taken all the necessary measures for the observance of the hygiene conditions, but also of the rules of operation of the spaces, according to the Joint Ministerial Decision and the instructions of the Health Scientific Committee of the G.G.A. about safe exercise in organized sports venues.

Goudi Swimming Pool (5 Kanellopoulou & Kokkinopoulou 5) will be open to the public over the age of 13 (2007) by appointment at 210-7776769 and 210-7771990.

It will be open from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 19:00 and on Saturday from 08:00 to 14:00.

The use of locker rooms is not allowed.

The use of the Swimming Pool for the month of June is free and two (2) visits per week will be allowed.
