In South Evia, and more specifically a short distance southwest of Marmari, is the beautiful beach depicted in the spot with which the Ministry of Tourism and the Hellenic Tourism Organization is attempting to restart tourism in our country, which exists, as well as others branches of the Greek economy, the adverse effects of the pandemic of the corona.
This year’s spot on Greek tourism, dominated by the message “Greek summer is not just the sun and the sea”, is one of the wonderful beaches that adorn the Marmari, the port of South Evia, along with the island complex of the Petalia, which connected to Rafina.
This beach is the Big Sand (Golden Sand), which is transformed from time to time, as the coastline moves according to the direction of the wind and the waves.
The Big Sand is considered ideal for lovers of water sports (windsurfers and kitesurfers), as it is very exposed to the winds.
